The H Earl Clack Museum, located on the Hill County
Fairgrounds, opened in 1964. It offers interpretive displays correlated with archaeological findings in the nearby Wahkpa Chu'gn Archaeological Site
. There are excellent dioramas illustrative of the history and development o this area. In addition to the exhibits, daily guided tours at the archaeological site and of historic Fort Assinniboine
The museum is located in the Heritage Center in downtown Havre, 4 blocks south of the Amtrak stop. Open year round, 10:00 to 5:00. Group reservations required.
