In colonial Valle de Bravo, white stucco houses are trimmed with wrought-iron balconies and red-tile roofs. A hilly town that rises from the shores of Lake Avandaro and is surrounded by pines and mountains, Valle was founded in 1530 but has no historical monuments to speak other than the town church.
