Search Henderson North Carolina

Founded in the summer of 1988 by Catherine Nicholson, an experienced community theatre actor and director, and Bill and Sherry Raker, theatre and television professionals, Belfry Players' first production was an imaginative staging of Spoon River Anthology with live folk music, at a performance space in St. James Episcopal Church, Hendersonville, NC. This was so popular that excerpts were in demand by many groups in the area for several years! Belfry was off and running and has grown to over one hundred members. St. James was the Players' home for nine years.

Belfry Player's goal is to bring to its audiences a variety of top-notch performances of quality drama while providing an enjoyable and exciting experience for its participants. Membership is open to all lovers of theatre: novice, amateur and professional. The Players present three productions per season which may include drama, comedy and musicals, both modern and period.
