Whitewater Falls Scenic Area

Of all the waterfalls in the Blue Ridge Mountains, Whitewater Falls is rated as one that you should make a special effort to see. With a drop of more than 400 feet from top to bottom, it may well be the highest falls in the range and is regarded as one of the most spectacular east of the Rockies. There is an accessible trail of two tenths of a mile from the parking lot to the overlook. Bring your camera.

The closest town is Cashier NC, about ten miles away mostly on NC Hwy 107.
