This is a restored turn-of-the-20th-century warehouse district offering shops, boutiques, eateries and entertainment. Beginning as an open-air market for produce and livestock, Haymarket grew to include the post office and Lincoln's first city hall. Selected as a demonstration project in 1985, Haymarket was the first urban water house to undertake the highly successful revitalization program of the National Trust for Historic Preservation.
