Seneca is located in Thomas County, situated between Mullen and Thedford along Hwy 2 and the Middle Loup River.

The population estimate for July 1, 1998 was 69, a decrease of 9 since 1990.

This village was created when the (CB & Q Railroad)came through in the late 1800's.
