Botanical Lampshades, located in Carroll County
, is a small company specializing in creating original designs using native flora and fauna. Every lampshade is handcrafted using dried, pressed flowers, leaves, and grasses. They offer four basic design categories: florals, wildflowers, woodlands, and leaves & grasses. They specialize in custom designs to match or complement your fabrics or wallpaper. Over 200 sizes of lampshades are available with fittings to use on floor lamps, table lamps, wall sconces, and chandeliers. The antique cape studio at Teacup Lake is surrounded by extensive gardens which supply the flowers we dry and press to use in our designs. If you stop by, you'll often find them working in the gardens picking delphinium, verbena, larkspur, and violas for pressing. Workshop classes are available.
