The Black Horse Motor Court is open year round and located on Squam Lake in Ashland, New Hampshire. Squam Lake is the second largest lake in the state and served as the location for the Hollywood film, "On Golden Pond." The Black Horse consists of housekeeping cottages and motel suites.

During the spring and summer season, there are several facilities to compliment lodgings. For the active there is boating, fishing, swimming, nearby hiking trails and several golf courses. For the more relaxed, there are antique and craft shops, a cultural arts center and a science center.

Fall brings beautiful foliage views to our shores and winter turns the lake front into the perfect place to snowmobile, ice fish, ice skate or cross country ski. There are several nearby trails for snowmobiling and cross country skiing as well as alpine skiing at Waterville Valley, Loon Mountain, Gunstock Ski Mountain; and Cannon Mountain in Franconia Notch State Park, all within a short drive.
