Wind Horse Studio, located in Durham, is the home of the artwork of Sarah Hamilton. In Tibetan mythology, the wind-horse carries prayers and desires to the Universe. This site features a variety of sumi-e and sculpture, much of which celebrates the horse in art. Sumi-e is a traditional Asian art form. The name literally translates to mean "black ink painting." It is an art form which stresses capturing the essence of the subject and its harmony with the natural world. The goal of the art is to find a balance between form, line and space.
