Fanwood

Named after Fannie Wood, daughter of a railroad official, the Borough of Fanwood is in Union County, in the Gateway Region. This is a small densely populated community in the heart of similar communities packed together in the eastern part of the state. Near Fanwood are Watchung Reservation, Ashbrook Reservation, Plainfield Country Club and Spring Lake County Park. Nearby towns are Plainfield, North Plainfield, Scotch Plains and Westfield.
