Folsom is in Union County, and in the Northeast New Mexico region. Folsom is located at the intersection of Hwy's 456,72,and 325. Folsom is north of Capulin on Hwy 325.
Folsom is a small village in a valley of the Dry Cimarron River. It was named for Grover Cleveland's wife, Frances Folsom. At the turn of the century Folsom grew with the cattle industry in Northeastern New Mexico.
