American military history, leadership application techniques, basic soldiering skills, organzation of military units, and the importance of a secure national defense are base topics in the Military Science Department--the core of the Institute.
To round out the Cadet's education, they may choose from any of the 25 majors from Art and Business Administration to the Physical Sciences and the "Pre's"--Engineering, Law, Med, Dental and Veterinary.
Typically, graduating Cadets continue their education at one of the United States' major Military Academies.
Athletic scholarships are given in football, basketball, baseball, track/cross country and other sports.
