Henderson

Henderson is located in Clark County just southeast of Las Vegas between Las Vegas and Boulder City along US Highway 93 on the banks of the Colorado River near Lake Mead and the Arizona state line in the Southern Nevada of the state.

Situated just west of Hoover Dam.

The population estimate for July 1, 1998 was 152,717, an increase of 87,769 since 1990.

Henderson is part of the Las Vegas, Nevada-Arizona metro area.

Henderson boomed briefly during construction of the Boulder Dam. The population swelled again with establishment of a magnesium plant here during World War II.
