Pyramid Lake

Search Visit Nevada

Though smaller in size than prehistoric Lake Lahontan, which once covered 8,400 square miles, of Western Nevada and Northeastern California, it is still Nevada's largest natural lake. About 30 miles long and 7 to 9 miles wide. Pyramid Lake is surrounded by red and brown sandstone mountains and punctuated by porous rock islands.

Located on State Route 445.
