This small liberal arts college was established in 1852 and has a high reputation for academic excellent. Admission is very competitive. The undergraduate student body is only around 600, 95% of whom live on campus. The student body is primarily drawn from outside Ohio. The school does not play intercollegiate sports but has a number of intramural sports for its students. Top majors are communications and environmental science/biology.
