The Atwood House is of Greek Revival architecture built in 1843 by Jacob Atwood, a financier from Baltimore, MD. The front bricks of the house were brought by canal from Atwood's foundry in Baltimore, and the rest of the bricks were made in a foundry constructed in the basement.

Rooms feature mahogany queen rice beds, private bath with clawfoot tub and a private second-story porch accessed through a windowed door.
