Mason is located in southwestern Ohio in Warren County just north of the Cincinnati metropolitan area north of metropolitan area north of [i275] and between [i75] to the west and [i71] to the east. The population estimate for July 1, 1998 was 18,850, an increase of 7,400 since 1990.

Outdoor recreation can be found at 2,800-acre [caesalak] about 20 miles northeast of town. In addition, golfers have several courses from which to select their round du jour. These include the Golf Center at Kings Island, a 27-hole layout where any two of three 9-hole combinations can be played; the Bruin Mid-Length, a par 60 course and also at Kings Island and Crooked Tree Golf Course, Kingswood Golf Course and Western Row Golf Course, all public 18-hole facilities.
