Wickliffe is located in northeastern Ohio in Lake County about 15 miles northeast of Cleveland 3 miles inland from Lake Erie. The population estimate for July 1, 1998 was 13,953, a decrease of 605 since 1990. Pine Ridge Country Club, a public 18-hole course built in 1931 and Green Ridge Golf Course, a public 9-hole, executive-style facility offer golfers of all skill levels an opportunity to enjoy their outings. Other recreational diversions include Cleveland Lakefront State Park on the city's north side.
