Henry county is located in northwestern Ohio and uses Napoleon as its county seat. The county population on July 1, 1999, was 29,870, an increase of 762 over the 1990 census. Formal outdoor recreational facilities can be found along the historic Maumee River at the Mary Jane Thurston State Park near the Wood county line.
