Claremore

Claremore is located in northeastern Oklahoma in Rogers County (of which it is the county seat) along Interstate 44 (the Will Rogers Turnpike section) and historic Route 66 just north of the Verdigris River and northeast of Tulsa.

Claremore is the home, after being born and raised in Oologah to the northwest (Dog Iron Ranch & Will Rogers Birthplace), of the "Cowboy Comedian" and is host to the Will Rogers Stampede Rodeo, Will Rogers Days and the Will Rogers Memorial Museum as well as Rogers State University. Lake Oologah is just to the north.

An extensive collection of over 20,000 firearms, beer steins, antique saddles and statuary can be found at the J.M. Davis Arms & Historical Museum just off Route 66. In addition, other local attractions include the Belvidere Mansion and the Oklahoma Military Academy Memorial.
