One of the two state parks at Beavers Bend, Hochatown is accessed 4 miles past the main entrance to Beavers Bend 7 miles north of Broken Bow in southeastern Oklahoma in McCurtain County on SR 259A. Continuing north, there are three access entrances: Stephens Gap, Carson Creek and Cedar creek. Along with Beavers Bend State Park, the area offers a combined 3,482 park acres and a 14,240-acre lake. The 40-room Lakeview Lodge is situated on Broken Bow Lake. In addition, there are 47 cabins (most with a fireplace), 8 camping areas, 393 campsites, an assigned campground, 2 group camps (with capacities of 144), a forest heritage and education center, nature center with a naturalist and an amphitheatre.
Recreation and amenities include backpacking, biking, hiking, and nature trails; boating, water skiing, fishing, volleyball, tennis, swimming beach, canoeing, paddleboating, horseback riding, hayrides, restaurant, grocery, gift shop, train rides and miniature golf. An 18-hole golf course is nearby.
