Parkside is a private not for profit psychiatric hospital, which was originally founded as the Tulsa Psychiatric Foundation in 1959 by citizens concerned that psychiatric services were not widely available in the community. These compassionate citizens believed that most people would be best treated in their local community rather than in state institutions. Over the years, the community's need for psychiatric services has changed significantly and Parkside has responded to the needs by offering a wide range of services and programs. Parkside's programs are designed to best meet community service priorities and thus fulfill their mission.
Parkside currently offers the following programs: Assessment and Referral (by licensed professionals 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, including holidays), Adult Inpatient Hospital and Medical Detoxification, Adult Group Services, Adult Chemical Dependency Intensive Outpatient Program,
