Newspaper Museum In Collinsville

Visit the "Newspaper Museum In Collinsville" for over 100 years of newspaper production history. A narrated tour shows much of the original equipment used to produce the newspaper.

Starting with the hand-set type pieces in the type cases progressing to the linotypes, then onto the electronic typesetter in the modern offset era, the archives of the Collinsville newspapers contain photographs and news articles detailing the town history back to pre-statehood in Indian Territory. There is also an interactive panoramic display of downtown Collinsville circa 1914.
