Porum

Porum is located in eastern Oklahoma in Muskogee County southeast of Checotah along SR 2 eight miles south of Interstate 40 about five miles north of the Canadian River. The town is within an easy drive of Eufaula Lake to the west and the Sequoyah National Wildlife Refuge to the east.

The population estimate for July 1, 1998 was 874, an increase of 23 since 1990.
