Waynoka is located in northwest Oklahoma in Woods County
north of the Cimarron River
. It is just four miles north of the Little Sahara State Park
at the intersection of U.S. Highway 281 and SR 14. This is 4-wheelin' country. The park's 1,800 acres of glistening sand beckon to beginner and expert alike.
Waynoka's Main Street has a fascinating attraction--Centennial Wall, where settlers' names have been carved since the Oklahoma pioneer days. For museum buffs, the town presents the Santa Fe Depot Museum, with its collections of Cherokee Strip-era relics, and the Waynoka Historical Museum, documenting the town's growth.
