The Xing Dance Theatre was established in 1986 by Chinese Canadian choreographer Xing Bang Fu. Based in Toronto, and formerly known as the Panda Dance Theatre, the Xing Dance Theatre has been mounting unique, creative works for the past 14 years. Known for their fusion of classical ballet, Chinese dance and modern dance, the Xing Dance Theatre has created and produced critically acclaimed, original productions including Yellow River (2003), Rice (2003) etc. This innovative approach has resulted in a highly creative, unique style of dance that blends the beauty of the classical arts and spans traditions and cultures.
