Albany

Albany is located in Benton County & Linn County, east of Corvallis along US Hwy 20 and the Willamette River. The area was the home of the Calapooia Indians before being settled in 1848 by two brothers from Albany NY. More than 500 of the town's early structures remain and several can be toured during the annual open houses in July and December.

A popular pastime is touring the area's many covered Bridges. Oregon has the largest collection of covered bridges outside of New England and a detailed brochure outlining their locations is available from the Albany Visitors Association. With a large and well-preserved historic district, Albany is also a mecca for antique shoppers. In addition, Albany has six public rose gardens with more than 900 rose bushes.

There is also an Albany, Vermont.
