Ashland Ranger District

The Ashland Ranger District is located in two distinctly different mountain ranges. The western portion is part of the Siskiyou Mountain Range and the eastern portion is located within the Southern Cascade Mountains. The District's 98,695 acres offer a geologic and vegetative diversity that is unique among National Forests.

The Ashland Ranger Station is located on Washington Street in the city of Ashland. Take exit 14 off of Interstate 5 and turn west on Hwy 66. Washington St. is the first street on the left. Information and maps are available, as well as permits for firewood, Christmas trees, red cinder rock transplanting of small plants and trees, and for collecting lava rock.
