Southwest of Coos Bay on Cape Arago Highway is this quaint fishing, known for its safe harbor, charter boat services, clamming, crabbing, great restaurants, shops, and whale watching. The Charleston Info Center is open May through September.

For great photos as well as fishing and crabbing, follow Boat Basin Way and turn right on Kingfisher Way to the docks. Best time for photos is early morning or when the fog has rolled in.
