The Crane Creek Trail is located within the North Fork John Day Wilderness in the Umatilla National Forest, and is a popular route for elk hunters. The trail is 5.1 miles, and is rated more difficult. Travel five miles north of Granite on Forest Road #73 to Crane Creek Flat.
