Dayton is located in Yamhill County, southwest of Portland, between McMinnville and Newberg, off of Highway 99W. Popular attractions for this community include: Grande Ronde Blockhouse (northwest corner of the City Park), Aviation Museum, Aquatic Center, Turkey Rama, outlet mall, historical district, Bald Peak State Park, Maud Williamson State Park, Siuslaw National Forest, Champoeg State Park, Willamette Mission State Park and the South Yamhill River. There is also a Dayton, Wyoming. Dayton is part of the Portland-Vancouver, Oregon-WA metro area.
