Portland Parks and Recreation is the steward of 10,000 acres of land which covers community parks, habitat parks, neighborhood parks, golf courses, regional parks, urban parks, recreation facilities, and other sites. Activities provided include cross country skiing, sea kayaking, mountaineering, whitewater rafting, outdoor skills classes, canoeing, whitewater kayaking, women-only adventures, fly fishing trips and classes, Oregon history tours, backpacking, Forest Park hikes, snowboarding, wild edibles classes, skiing, and snow camping.
