Metolius River

Search Visit Oregon

Rising on the eastern slopes of the Cascade Mountains, the Metolius River flows north and eastward before joining the Deschutes River at Cove Palisades State Park. In 1988, the river was designated a national Wild and Scenic River, on account of its scenic properties. Fed by numerous springs, the river maintains a very nearly even flow throughout the year.
