Blue Mountain Crossing

Located off Interstate 84 at Exit 248 west of La Grande, this interpretive site overlooks a portion of the Oregon Trail as it climbs through the pine-covered slopes of the rugged Blue Mountains. Operated by the U.S.D.A. Forest Service - Oregon, the site includes one-half mile of paved, handicapped-accessible paths with benches and interpretive panels. Living history characters perform and greet visitors most weekends. Open from Memorial Day to Labor Day.

Restrooms, water, and picnic area are available.
