Owyhee River

Search Visit Oregon
The Owyhee flows from Nevada and Idaho northward through southeastern Oregon to the Snake River. Little known even among Oregonians, the Owyhee has been designated a National Wild and Scenic River. Use of the stream for rafting or boating is regulated by the BLM. In addition, the Oregon Parks and Recreation Dept has jurisdiction over riverside activities along two of the more scenic stretches.

Names and addresses of licensed river guides and boating services can be obtained from dealers and the BLM office in Vale.
