Search Visit Oregon

The Umpqua River is one of the major rivers flowing into the Pacific on the Oregon Coast. At its mouth is Winchester Bay in the heart of the Oregon Dunes National Recreation Area. Upstream, both Gardiner and Reedsport are on Highway 101. The river is a single waterway until just below Roseburg, where it splits into the North Umpqua and South Umpqua. Both of these have their sources in the Cascades to the east.
