In the Willamette National Forest, Detroit Ranger District. This is one of two Day Use Areas managed by the U.S.D.A. Forest Service - Oregon on Detroit Lake The other is The other is [detroit_flats]. Nearby camping is available at [uparmici]. This is the only developed Day Use Area in Breitenbush Road. The area is heavily used in the summer.

Several varieties of water fowl can be seen at the lake, including Osprey and Bald Eagles which can be observed fishing. Species highlighted at this spot include; Hooded Merganser, Common Merganser, Great Blue Heron, American Dipper, Spotted Sandpiper, Yellow Warbler and Common Yellowthroat. CODE left
