After a 6-month, 7$ million renovation, the World Forestry Center Discovery Museum reopened its doors on June 30, 2005 with all new hands-on, interactive exhibits designed to engage visitors to learn about forests and trees of the world. Great for families, seniors and school groups, visitors can get harnessed in and hoisted up 45 feet to see the forest from a birds-eye-view, or climb below and see life under the forest. Other featured exhibits include a wet-free white water raft ride, smokejumper simulator, and journeys to forests in Siberia, Africa, China and Brazil. Travel exhibits explore art, history, and culture from around the world.
