Hood River County

Established in June of 1908, this 533 square mile county is home to 18,400 people. Not surprisingly, the county seat is Hood River and the largest river flowing through the county is Hood River. Hood River County offers unique, scenic experiences all year round - discover a world of outdoor recreation, scenic pleasures, historic landmarks and friendly people while you recreate or relax.

The eastern slopes of Mount Hood are in Hood River County as are the eastern segments of the Barlow Ranger District around the mountain.
