The elk on the North Mountain, Wild-Elk-Ranch live wild. They have little contact with man, except in hunting season when any encounter with them is on a hunting-type basis. These animals roam the forests of this huge private ranch and are not confined to pens. They live, roam and survive in this wilderness and as such, behave like any wild elk would, elusively.
