Tall Ship Events and America's Cup Races are viewed from this park because of the great view of Newport Harbor and the East Passage of Narragansett Bay. Another main attraction is scuba diving, as Diving Clubs from New York State, Connecticut, Massachusetts and Rhode Island use the facilities at the boat ramp year round.

This park does not charge admission.

This 60 acre park also offers picnicking, boating, fishing, hiking and exploring.
