Hunting Island State Park

Once the hunting ground of Indians and settlers, the island is now home to Hunting Island State Park, a wonderland of a wetlands marsh with a nature trail boardwalk and adjacent trails in the woods. The Hunting Island Lighthouse, now abandoned, is open to visitors for a scenic view of the island and beach.

This 5000 acre park features cabins, a campground, picnicking, nature programs, pier and lagoon fishing and a boat ramp. Also store, gift shop and tackle.
