Search Visit

The Isle of Arran is located an hour ferry's ride from Ardrossan, not far from Glasgow. The island has 10 peaks over 600m and a coastal road. The main city is Brodick, which has a castle. Several other towns on the island are popular resorts.

The Isle of Arran is the largest island in the Firth of Clyde and is part of Buteshire. It is approximately 20 miles long by 12 miles broad. Lofty cliffs rising in the south and southwest, with steep granite peaks and narrow glens occupying the north, afford some magnificent scenery.
