Cumberland Science Museum

This museum offers interactive exhibits and programs that explore astronomy, the physical sciences, natural history, human health, recycling, and world cultures. Construction Junction is an interactive, hands-on exhibit designed for the Cumberland Science Museum in conjunction with local engineers and PlayWorks, Inc. This 1000 ft exhibit, sponsored by donors to the future Tennessee Engineer Center, was developed to educate young visitors about basic engineering concepts and coordinate learning with building the center itself. Journey back in time sixty-five million years to an age when dinosaurs ruled the world in the Dino Rumble, a Dinomation dinosaur exhibit. Visitors can learn the process of home building from blueprint to finished product in CSM's Discovery House. Help build unfinished walls, look through transparent structures revealing pipes and electrical runs, or sit in the den and watch a video.
