Brazos Bend State Park

Covering almost 5000 acres about 30 miles south of Houston, the park has an eastern boundary fronting on the Brazos River. This was the area of the first Anglo colonization in Texas. Prehistoric people used the area, possibly as early as 300 B.C. Activities include camping, picnicking, hiking, biking, and fishing.
