Matador Ranch is located approximately 80 miles northeast of Lubbock. It is a 128,000-acre working cattle ranch with terrain including mesquite, cedar, rolling hills, rugged canyons, and open pastures. The ranch is divided into hunting tracts of 3,000 to 13,000 acres, offered for seasonal leasing for a combination hunt of dove and quail. Fully guided hunts are available for bobwhite quail, mature whitetail deer, large desert mule deer, and the wild feral hog. Guests can stay in a rustic and comfortable lodge built in 1917. Superb meals are also served.
