Founded in 1962, this campus specializes in marine and maritime-related programs. About three quarters of undergraduates are from Texas. In addition to a 100-acre campus, the university has a training ship, the T/S Texas Clipper. There are just under 1000 full-time undergraduates. The university does not have a graduate program. It belongs to the Texas A&M University System.
