Monument Valley Navajo Tribal Park

This region covers several thousand square miles and contains Mystery Valley, highlighted by red sandstone monoliths tower as high as 1,000 feet above the valley floor. The Monument Valley visitor center is located about 4 miles southeast of Hwy 163. Guided tours from the center are offered daily, as well as information on self-guided tours of the valley. Camping and picnicking are permitted. Visitors to the tribal park should ask before photographing the Native Americans that reside here; other restrictions also apply.

The park is open year around except Christmas.
