Home of Utah and America's Downhill and Super G choice for the 2002 Olympic Games, Snow basin offers nonstop skiing on a daily basis with terrain to suit all ability levels. The resort boasts 55 designated runs within its 3,200 acres as well as tree and glade skiing. Ski rentals and ski shop, as well as ski instruction available. The Snow basin day lodge offers dining and cookouts, with live entertainment. Lifts include two gondolas, one high speed quad, four triples, one double and one jig back tram; all lifts open to snowboarders. For that reason, many residents of the Valley wanted to reestablish their Welsh roots. In 2005, after a 90 year break, this annual cultural event, now called the Malad Valley Welsh Festival, once again became a reality.
