The Appomattox County Historical Museum, housed in what was once the county jail, on which building began in 1895 and was completed in 1897, is located in central Piedmont Virginia. Among its fascinating features are included: a turn-of-the-century one-room school, a doctor's office, jail cell, general store, country kitchen and a room.
